Linux and touchpad

Linux and touchpad:

Is it just my notebook with clickfinger touchpad. Or is touchpad so laggy / jumpy / accelerating when it’s not supposed to on all the touchpads on Linux?

How do you guys prevent it? Do you apply some tweaks to the driver? ( so far my tweaking with sensitivity settings were resulting with even more laggy / jumpy touchpad ) Or do you guys roll with other touchpad drivers? Like synaptics or this mtrack? Or did I simply buy the wrong notebook for Linux?

Please share your wisdom…

My setup: HP Probook 430 G4 with clickfinger touchpad Fedora 27 X11 KDE plus libinput

It’s waaay worse than on Windows 10
